[Mis à jour le 21 juin 2023 à 18h06] Paris celebrates music! On this Wednesday, June 21, 2023 and like hundreds of cities in France, the capital is preparing to vibrate to the sound of organized or improvised concerts, everywhere in the streets, bars, museums or performance halls. Throughout the city, hundreds of events are planned, for all ages, all tastes, free of charge. For this forty-first edition of the Fête de la Musique, established and amateur artists offer a wide range of rock, electro, jazz, rap, metal and classical music concerts.

It should be noted that on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), the RATP and Transilien SNCF, announce that they have deployed a night opening system for certain lines. Six metros will thus be open all night: 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 and 14; as well as four RER lines: A, B, C and D.

However, it can be difficult to know where to turn among the hundreds of appointments offered in the capital this Wednesday. Here are some of the events proposed for the Fête de la Musique in Paris:

  • France Inter celebrates music at the Olympia – As every year, the radio settles in the mythical Parisian room with, as programming for this evening presented by Laurent Goumarre and Aline Afanoukoé: Zaho de Sagazan, Jain, Arlo Parks, Lomepal and Dinos.
  • Eesah Yasuke and Mentissa at the Palais-Royal – The Ministry of Culture offers a women’s evening in the gardens of the heart of the capital, from 1 p.m.
  • Electro open air in the Parc de la Villette – À la Folie offers an evening of DJ sets, from 6 p.m.
  • Eclectic evening at the National Assembly – The Hotel de Lassay, seat of the National Assembly, opens its doors on the occasion of the Music Festival with an evening bringing together a jazz band, a brass band and a group of Brazilian music.
  • The Elysée celebrates music : like every year, the Elysée Palace opens its doors for an evening, with Yasmine Hadj-Ali, a group of musicians from the New Orleans Jazz Museum joined by the American Jon Baptiste, Grégory Porter and Ibrahim Maalouf, and DJ Linda and DJ T-SIA. The event, free and on registration, is sold out.
