Municipality of Naples and CDP strengthen collaboration memorandum of understanding

(Finance) – Stimulate the public and private investments, to ease access to European resources and generate a positive impact on the territory: these are the objectives of the Protocol announced today by the Municipality of Naples and by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) on the occasion of a meeting between the Mayor, Gaetano Manfredi and Dario Scannapieco, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of CDP.

To further consolidate the cooperation between the two institutions, CDP, in the role of Advisory Partner of the European Commission, will offer to the Municipality of Naples technical and financial consultancy services aimed at improving the procedures and operational tools of the municipal administration and promoting implementation of interventions of public-private partnerships under the InvestEU Programme.

In detail, thanks to the resources made available by the European Union and by the CDP itself, Cassa will support the Municipality in all the technical-operational phases which also concern the overall estimate of the initiativeseconomic feasibility and impact assessment environmental, social and economic aspects of the various projects of the institution.

To ensure a better use of resources dedicated to collaboration activities and to achieve the objectives set, CDP and the Municipality of Naples will implement various actions, starting with a monitoring the progress of the agreed timetable.

“This agreement with CDP, specialized institution build and promote concretely a network of collaboration between public and private, fits fully into our programmatic line: to operate for the territory with a virtuous synergy in the interest of the community”, commented Gaetano Manfredi, Mayor of Naples.

Today, thanks to the protocol signed with the Municipality of Naples, we are renewing this commitment and strengthening our closeness to the Campania region with the aim of creating long-term value and generating important positive economic and social effects for the whole community”, declared Dario ScannapiecoChief Executive Officer and General Manager of CDP.
