Pedestrians found the car in the middle of the road at about 3:50 a.m. The driver is said to have driven into a tree from the direction of Lunteren to Renswoude. A photographer at the scene reports that the victim was not approachable. An air ambulance was also called in, but it is not known whether it eventually landed.
