Moroni refuses to welcome people in an irregular situation expelled

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin’s anti-migrant operation, dubbed Wambushu (“recovery” in Comorian) and scheduled after the end of Ramadan, plans to destroy slums in Mayotte and evict undocumented migrants, vast majority of Comorians, to the Comorian island of Anjouan, 70 km away. The Moroni authorities say they refuse to deal with the consequences of this operation and they call on the French government to renew the dialogue.
