Johan de Boer also had a special bond with the building. He is a member of the Historical Association Vleuten De Meern Leidsche Rijn, but was also working for Rijkswaterstaat in 1997 when Mobilion was opened as an information center. “In ten years there have been 300,000 people who met there, did school projects, got guided tours and discussed during debates. It was a great meeting place for a lot of things that happened in the region.”
