Money raining on the riders after the Swedish success – that’s how much Ebba Andersson and all the winners earned at the World Cup premiere

It was a great Swedish success in the World Cup premiere on the women’s side.
It generated money raining on the riders.
Here is how much the Swedish cross-country skiers earned from the races in Ruka.

On the women’s side, it was a great success for the Swedes during the World Cup premiere in Ruka. They won all three races, and took a total of five podiums. Several of the riders are therefore now several hundred thousand kroner richer.

Bonuses intact

Before the season, the driver’s contribution was increased, among other things due to inflation in society. It is now “six to seven” percent higher, says the long distance manager Lars Öberg for Aftonbladet. Skaters in the A national team will thus receive 225,000 kroner in skating allowance this year.
The B national team’s contribution has also been increased by the same percentage, but their coach contribution is approximately SEK 200,000 lower.

The winner’s bonuses for the World Cup, however, are the same as last year.
– The riders are happy with it and the association seems satisfied as well. Then we keep it. It is clear that we always want to increase, but at the same time you have to look at interest, where the money should go and where it is best for development. But it is clear that we are not satisfied just because you get a certain amount that is the same every year, says Marcus Gratewho is a rider representative, to the evening newspaper.

The Swedes’ money rain

The bonuses from the national team thus remain at 50,000 kroner for a World Cup victory, 30,000 for a second place, and 20,000 for a third place.
A win in the World Cup also gives a prize sum of 15,000 Swiss francs, which is just over SEK 177,000, reports Aftonbladet.
