Modo’s perfect answer after the club icon’s clear cut before the SHL return: “He has never…”

Modo is back in the SHL again.
But expert Per Svartvadet sees no fun comeback for the team.
Then Modo responds in the most beautiful way to his own club icon.

It will once again be SHL hockey in Örnsköldsvik. Modo is back in Swedish hockey’s fine room again and soon it will be time to start the big comeback season.

The judgment of the Black Wad

How it will go will be very exciting to follow, but Radiosport’s expert Per Svartvadet has now given its verdict. He himself made 14 seasons for Modo and won SM gold with the club.

Today, Svartvadet’s jersey hangs from the ceiling of Hägglund’s arena and he is seen as a club icon in Modo-land. But in an interview with SHL.se, he is really hard on his own team and sees a gloomy season ahead.
– I think Modo will be one of the qualifying teams. Anything else would be a real mess. We’ll see which team joins Modo, says the hockey expert in his analysis.

Modo’s nice answer

In Örnsköldsvik, you take the words in stride and instead send back a neat answer to the legend.
– Yes, but he’s never been right when he’s tipped before, so why would he be right now?, says the sports manager Henrik Gradin to Hockeynews.

Then Gradin is asked if there is any risk of the shirt being taken down from the roof after such words from Per Svartvadet.
– No then, there is probably no danger. He has deserved to have it hanging there, the sports director answers the joking question.

When it comes to Modo’s own goals for the coming season, sporting director Henrik Gradin is clear.
– Our only goal is to stay so we can establish ourselves in the SHL. That’s our goal, so we can finish 12th or better would be the best, but if we end up in 13th or 14th place, we have to make sure we win the last series in the best of seven, it’s not more difficult than that. On the other hand, it can be more difficult to do it, but that is the plan and the idea for this season in any case, he tells the hockey site.
