Modo fell in the anxiety meeting – after bizarre exchange: “My God”

Modo fell in the anxiety meeting against Malmö.
This after a bizarre miss in their own zone.
– No, no, my God. What the hell is going on?, exclaimed TV4’s expert Almen Bibic in connection with Malmö’s lead goal.

Lauri Pajuniemi decided against Färjestad on penalties. Against Modo, he got the chance with another penalty after only six minutes of play. He went towards the same cross as last time but Lassi Lehtinen was involved and was able to save Modo from an early conceded goal.

Instead, Modo took over the match more and more and 1-0 came from Theodor Niederbach’s stick. Just before the end of the first period, the lead was doubled after a goal by Josh Dickinson.

But Malmö came back strongly after a double from Carl Persson, it was tied after 40 minutes played.

Modo captain David Rundblad was not happy with his team’s performance in the second period.

– We get down completely, we mostly back home and throw pucks away. When we feel that we get a lot of pressure, we almost back home too much and get cut, he told TV4.

Even TV4’s expert Petter Rönnqvist put a big question mark on Modo’s defensive game:

– It’s like loose particles flying around, it’s really worrying, he said in the broadcast.

Modo’s behavior in his own zone would prove costly even in the third period after a very strange situation. Everyone went and changed in Modo and Carl Persson and Pajuniemi had to come almost free against Lehtinen. Persson managed it until 3-2 and his third goal of the evening.

– No, no, my God. What the hell is going on? So you mustn’t do that when you go and change. You give away this goal, I haven’t seen that, only at junior level, exclaimed TV4’s expert Almen Bibic.
