Moa Ilar’s anger towards teammate Johanna Hagström

Hear Hagström in the player above.

The Swedish duo fought hard for advancement from their quarter-final heat and Moa Ilar was unhappy with Hagström’s choice of track at the end of the race.

– I’m pissed off, she says.

– It was a tight race and battle for positions the whole time. It was difficult to ride the way you want.

Johanna Hagström understands her teammate’s anger. But she made it to the final herself, where she finished sixth and had the goal of driving hard.

– Of course I was tight on her and I knew I was on the limit. But you also give yourself some of the conditions you get.

Meeting after the event

Women’s coach Stefan Thomson speaks The Express that they should have a meeting about the incident in the evening with those concerned.

– It is important to clean it up so we can move on, he says.

Moa Ilar is 13th in the tour after the first stage, 54 seconds behind leader Linn Svahn.
