Santanche Senato respinge mozione di sfiducia

(Finance) – As part of the Fund from 75 million euros aimed at valorising the Municipalities with a tourist-cultural vocation home to sites recognized as UNESCO world heritage sites and the Municipalities belonging to the network of UNESCO creative cities, the Ministry of Tourism has, so far, approved 58 definitive projects involving over 250 Municipalities in 16 Regions, for a total commitment of over 70 million euros. Furthermore, two further projects are being approved and one is being presented.

The allocation is aimed at financing the projects by the proposing Municipalities, from conclude by November 30, 2025, which have as their object interventions such as: the creation of digital tourism enhancement and promotion tools, as well as tourist itineraries; marketing activities and events; works of a building, structural or plant nature or, again, installations on cultural, landscape and naturalistic sites functional to increasing tourist enjoyment and attractiveness.

A total of over 470 interventions will be carried out.

By way of example, in Genoa the “Dimore dell’Ospitalazione Genovese Europea” project was approved to strengthen the Ligurian capital as a tourist destination in a cultural, historical and artistic key; in Capaccio Paestum, the “Cilento Vallo di Diano Experience” project for the differentiation of the tourist product; in Siena, the “Siena Tourism Hub” project aimed at increasing the average stay and implementing smart destination services; in Milan, the “LET-MI: Literature and Tourist Experience in Milan” project for the creation of a complex digital path.

“The Fund is an important tool to strengthen one of the flagships of the Italian tourism ecosystem” – commented the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè– “With over 142 million visitors and spending over 12 billion euros, cultural tourism is a real driving force for the sector. And it couldn’t be otherwise, considering – for example – our 59 UNESCO world heritage sites and 495 certified villages. In this way, we strengthen support for the Italian territorial fabric and give continuity to the actions implemented for the valorization of the territories, as done with the Fund for small municipalities with a tourist vocation, with a view to a wide-ranging work aimed at supporting and enhance these precious components of the Italian tourism ecosystem, which are also unique at an international level, as well as strategic factors of sustainability and deseasonalisation”.
