Utrecht – The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport will not appeal against a court ruling on the concentration of pediatric heart surgery. The judge overturned a decision to limit pediatric heart surgery to two centers: in Rotterdam and Groningen. This would mean that the locations in Leiden, Amsterdam and Utrecht would be closed, but according to the judge, the decision was insufficiently substantiated, so the plan could not go ahead.
