(Finance) – “There are certainly gods in some aspects sacrifices for some categories of workers or some categories of pension interventions but the intervention should also be read in the context of a particular moment in which the first thing to do is to pay attention to the balance”. He said this this afternoon in Genoa the Minister of Labor Marina Calderone, commenting on the draft of the maneuver on pensions on the sidelines of the ANCI annual meeting.
“The maneuver – the minister recalled – has not yet been filed, there are ongoing reflections. We would also have been ready to propose a more far-reaching pension reform but today it is also important to take into account the balance of the accounts and above all the need to give signs of stability in our country and our markets. For this reason some interventions may seem limited.”
“But I believe that the maneuver should be read in its entirety other interventions should also be evaluated because it is true that there is no structural pension reform but we reconfirm the reduction of the contribution wedge which is a big commitment. That alone costs almost 10 billion but it is right because it is an intervention in favor of families and lower incomes and then alongside this there are interventions to support the family, the birth rate and also women’s work”, concluded Calderone on the subject of pensions.
The Minister of Labour, again during the annual meeting of the ANCI, also announced the postponement of the deadline for taking charge of the families by one month family members who will pass throughinclusion allowance. A protection system has been maintained for them until November 30th. “The inclusion allowance is the measure that directly affects the Municipalities. I assure you that we are constantly working to implement the platform and prepare the departure in the most serene way possible, without having any repercussions”, reiterates the minister.
