Microsoft Introduces New Surface Products at May 20 Event

While we wait for our first look at Windows 12, it looks like Microsoft may be planning a special event for May 20. This event takes place ahead of the upcoming developer conference Build 2024. In an invitation sent to media outlets, Microsoft announced that CEO Satya Nadella will deliver a keynote outlining the company’s vision for AI across hardware and software. Notably, this event will not be broadcast live, it will be exclusive to journalists attending in person, so you will not be able to watch it later.

The event is expected to focus on tighter AI integration in Microsoft’s upcoming devices and Windows updates. However, this is not the only topic the event touches upon. The Verge reports that we can also expect to see consumer versions of the Surface Pro 10 and the highly anticipated Surface Laptop 6 at the May 20 meeting. These upcoming consumer-targeted Surface machines could potentially be the first to use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X Elite processors. They will also definitely focus on delivering a suite of powerful AI-powered features on Windows.

Microsoft promised updates on “AI, Copilots, and more” at its Build 2024 conference, so some new announcements regarding Microsft Copilot are also expected. Build 2024 will start on Tuesday, May 21st and is being extended until May 22nd.
