Mask at the cinema its over the new health rules

MOVIE THEATER. We take stock of the health rules in force in cinemas, between the vaccination pass, the health pass and the wearing of a mask.

[Mis à jour le 28 février 2022 à 10h18] It is a return almost to normal which is therefore in force in cinemas. The health rules in force change from this Monday, February 28, 2022. It is no longer compulsory to wear a mask inside the establishment and during the screening of the film. However, it is possible to keep it if you deem it necessary.

However, the vaccination pass (complete vaccination schedule, or Covid-19 recovery certificate, or contraindication to vaccination) is still compulsory for those over 16, a health pass (negative PCR or antigen test or complete vaccination scheme or recovery from Covid-19) for minors aged 12 to 16. Since February 16, 2022, the sale of confectionery and consumption are again permitted. However, the rules of distancing and health precautions are still recommended. From the age of 6, wearing a mask is no longer compulsory in cinemas, whether during the session in the room, but also when traveling in the establishment which projects the films. This rule comes into force from February 28, since the vaccination pass is now compulsory to access the rooms when you are over 16 years old.

People over the age of 16 must present a vaccination pass to be able to enter the cinema. You must present one of the following three proofs to go see a film in theaters: a complete vaccination schedule, a certificate of recovery from coronavirus more than 11 days or less than four months or a certificate of medical contraindication to vaccination. Negative coronavirus tests are therefore no longer valid to enter the cinema if you are over 16 years old.

Since July 21, 2021, the sanitary passa new health protocol, was necessary to go to the cinemas. It has been replaced by the vaccination pass for those over 16 years old. However, the vaccination pass does not apply to minors aged 12 to 15: the latter may therefore present a sanitary pass. As a reminder, the health pass includes a complete vaccination scheme or a negative PCR or antigen test of less than 48 hours, or a medical certificate proving that you have contracted the coronavirus. However, the self-tests do not validate the health pass.
