After last year’s euphoric treble (championship, FA Cup and European Cup), Manchester City entered the knockout matches in the Champions League. The “Citizens”, with their duo Haaland-De Bruyne, did not miss their start to the match against Copenhagen.
After having scored four assists and a goal in four matches before returning to the Champions League, Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring in the eleventh minute with a low cross shot from the right which ended up in the opposite net. Real Madrid win without shining in Leipzig
In the other meeting of the day, Real Madrid, pushed by an eye-catching RB Leipzig team, ended up winning 1-0 in Germany to secure a favorable waiver in three weeks in Madrid.
