Man stabbed at church, shelter early Saturday: Sarnia police

A man stabbed multiple times at a Sarnia church and homeless shelter early Saturday is expected to survive, police say.

Sarnia police received word shortly after midnight about an altercation at River City Vineyard, at 260 Mitton St., Sarnia police said in a release.

A 51-year-old Sarnia man was taken to Bluewater Health for treatment for serious, but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

A suspect was arrested at the scene, police said.

Drew Russell Reaume, 24, is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and failing to comply with a probation order, police said. He was remanded into custody after a bail hearing pending a March 27 court appearance.
