It was during a weekend in February that the brother brought home his sister, who has impaired cognitive ability and therefore lives in a residence with LSS support, to his home where she was to spend the night. In the evening, the brother raped her.
When she returned to the accommodation, she told them what had happened, and a police report was made by the staff.
“Very serious violation”
The district court finds that he exposed his sister to a very serious violation. Both because of her cognitive impairment and the fact that the abuse took place in a place where she should feel safe.
The man denies the acts.
The violation is seen as “very serious” and the man is therefore sentenced to four years in prison. He must also pay SEK 215,000 in damages to his sister.
