Upon arrival, police learned a man and woman were having an argument. The woman attempted to leave the room, but the man allegedly wrapped an arm around her neck and forced her to the floor, police said. Police also learned of a similar alleged incident from this past March.

The 39-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and charged with assault and two counts of assault causing bodily harm. He was taken to headquarters and later released with conditions and a short date.

On Wednesday morning, a man attended police headquarters and turned himself in on two outstanding warrants.

One was for alleged mischief and a second for allegedly failing to comply with a release order.

The 38-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with conditions and a short date.

On Monday, court released a man with conditions not to communicate with two individuals.

Later that same day, the man allegedly contacted one of the individuals listed. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police located the man Tuesday at a residence on Patteson Avenue in Chatham. When the man reportedly refused to exit the residence, police obtained a warrant and arrested him.

The 26-year-old Chatham man was taken to headquarters and held for bail.
