A man is charged with assault and uttering threats, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.

Stolen credit cards used, man charged

A man faces fraud charges after stolen credit cards were used in Tilbury, Chatham-Kent police say.

A woman reported her wallet had been taken from her vehicle, police said. Days later, the woman’s cards were used at two businesses in Tilbury.

Officers used the businesses’ surveillance video to identify and arrest a suspect, police said.

A man faces two counts each of fraud, use of a stolen credit card and possessing stolen property, police said. He was released with a March 18 short date.
