Officers responding to a disturbance call at Talbot Trail home about 9:30 pm learned a man arriving to retrieve his pet forcefully entered the house and pushed past a person, causing thrm to lose their balance, on the way out, police said.

A suspect was arrested a short distance away, police said.
A Wallaceburg man, 42, is charged with assault, police said. He was released with conditions and a Jan. 8 short date.
Man charged after call to break-in in progress
A man faces charges after officers were called to a break-in in progress, Chartham-Kent police say.
Officers responding to Northern Elements on Garnet Street in Wallaceburg about 10:30 p.m. Sunday got a description from witnesses and arrested a suspect running from the scene, police said.
A Wallaceburg man, 32, is charged with break-and-enter, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.
