Malmo represented by a Finnish player to a dramatic victory

Niklas Moisander watched from the sidelines as Malmö FF won the Swedish Cup.

A Finnish couple Niklas Moisander’s represented by Malmö FF won the football Swedish Cup final in the penalty shootout at Djurgården. Moisander was sidelined for the match in Malmö due to injury.

In the second half of the match Taha Ali took Malmö into the lead and Deniz Hümmet brought Djurgården level, and the penalty shootout ended in a 1–1 situation.

The greatest hero of the penalty shootout was Malmö’s goalkeeper Johan Dahl, who blocked two shots. Malmö won the penalty shootout 4–1.

Finnish topperi Miro Tenho played in Djurgården’s defense the entire match and received a yellow card in overtime. Huhkajien and Djurgården midfielder Rasmus Schuller was sidelined for the match due to injury.

According to the news agency TT, the final was interrupted for a couple of minutes in the second half after the safety net in front of Djurgården’s supporters was torn. The Men’s Cup championship is Malmö’s 16th in club history.
