In a week you can play Dragon Age: The Veilguard. BioWare’s new role-playing game is already exciting fans, even if many can’t download it in advance. The players are therefore making plans on how they will bridge the time between downloading and playing – and what the first night of gaming will look like.
When will Dragon Age: The Veilguard be released?
Here’s how players plan the release: There is a lot of excitement on Reddit about the upcoming release. Some fans haven’t even realized that it’s already next week after waiting 10 years for the new part.
In one of the larger threads, users are talking about what release night will look like for them. The problem, especially for fans on PC: you first have to download the 90 GB in the evening.
Many people therefore plan to start the download and do a little household chores while doing so – or wash their hair. User slolly01 even designed a complete schedule:
“[Der Release] is completely planned. The game comes out at noon on my time. I have Thursday and Friday off.
Halloween is a minor thing this year and I don’t care. Sounds like the perfect day to me.”
Another user says he was actually on vacation at that time. Since his partner is getting a tattoo that day, he has time to gamble in the hotel room all day. However, many have to work and say they can’t join in the fun until later.
Play through Dragon Age quickly before Veilguard – is it worth it?
Many fans are already preparing for the release, for example by playing the predecessors again in fast forward. You want to remember what has happened so far and, above all, create your own world.
The world situation, or “World State”, has been an important feature in Dragon Age since the first part. Roughly speaking, you have been building your own world since Origin and your decisions still have an impact in subsequent games.
But that will no longer be the case in The Veilguard. Instead of loading saves from the old parts, you build the state of the world from a few decisions when creating your character. World situations from before no longer play a role.
At least when it comes to the enormously extensive story of Dragon Age, it certainly makes sense to take another look at the three games that have already been released. After all, role-playing games are a lot about the world and what happens there. But you don’t have to know everything: How much Dragon Age do I need to know to understand The Veilguard?
