Shortly after 07:30 on Friday morning, the alarm came about a fire at the paper mill, south of Bromölla near the border with Blekinge county. There is a fire between the inner and outer walls of a production building that is 30 meters high.
– There is a fire between the walls along the entire road. We work with extinguishing both from above and below. It must not spread to the wind because it is full of chips. It’s not good at all if it gets there, says duty officer Patrik Freij to SVT Nyheter Blekinge.
Rescue forces from Bromölla and Sölvesborg are on the scene and the employees at the affected production at the paper mill have had to leave the workplace.
The cause of the fire is still unclear.
