Luleå’s campaign took the world by storm – that’s why the greeting was so big

SVT has previously reported on the campaign, which spread like wildfire in the international media.

The campaign received attention in Japan, India, the USA, New Zealand and Great Britain, where it was described, somewhat rabidly, as “introverted Luleå residents” would start learning to start greeting each other.

British newspaper The Guardian tested the experiment itself.
