Lorentz Andersson took office as governor in 2001 and resigned in 2007. Distinguishing his time as governor is, according to Helene Hellmark Knutsson, his great commitment to the county and not least the industry.
– Lorentz was an incredibly dedicated and committed person for Västerbotten who really burned to contribute to Västerbotten’s long-term development, she says.
In 2008, he was awarded an honorary doctorate at Luleå University of Technology and in the same year received a medal from the king for his social contributions.
– It is a sign that he meant an incredible amount to our county, says Helene Hellmark Knutsson.
