An Israeli soldier wanted to take down the Palestinian flag he saw on the roadside.
After advancing about 20 meters and attempting to lower the flag, the improvised explosive device (IED) trapped in the flag exploded.
While it was learned that the Israeli soldier who was blown up by the explosion was injured, it was stated that the Israeli authorities are continuing their efforts to identify the suspects who deployed the IED in the region.
