Spakenburg – PSV 0-0

(referee: Manschot)

41′ YELLOW! Gutierez denies Vink a goal chance. The first card goes to PSV. Who would have thought that?

40′ Spakenburg drags a corner kick out of the fire. The first! The fans are going crazy.

35 ‘Luuk de Jong goes to the artificial turf after a head duel with Artien. On the side at PSV, people burst out in anger. On the field too. De Jong stands up groggy. Artien has clearly done something with the tips of Ronald Spelbos yesterday in Een Berg Cup Football.

32 ‘Van Aanholt lashes out from about twenty meters. Oh, what a bang! Ladies with a feline rescue!

31 ‘There is half an hour on the clock and it is still a game.

26′ First chance for Spakenburg. Luuk Admiraal enters at right angles from the left. His cross is cleared, otherwise it is a goal.

25 ‘Spakenburg remains upright for the time being. Xavi Simons is already starting to look annoyed.

21′ Til gets the ball between two Spakenburgers. His shot is wild and goes wide. PSV claims a penalty, but that is far from being the case.

19 ‘Verhagen intercepts and immediately dives into the depths. PSV blocks, so that the Spakenburg player gets the ball hard in his stomach. The air is out at Verhagen for a while.

16 ‘We play again. Spakenburg immediately goes on the attack.

14 ‘The sun goes down and so Manschot pauses the game for a while, so that the players who are observing Ramadan can eat and drink something.

13 ‘PSV has now had the first corner kick. The Blues are still holding up well after almost fifteen minutes of play.

8 ‘PSV puts enormous pressure. Spakenburg comes under that pressure for the first time and has crossed the center line.

5 ‘Guus Til gets the ball at the edge of the box. He pushes the ball past. The first chance of the game is for PSV.

4 ‘PSV combines over the right side, but clumsily lets the ball go over the back line. Spakenburg coach Chris de Graaf is not reassured and gives instructions from the side.

3 ‘PSV is chasing. Spakenburg waits as much as possible.

2 ‘The field is still full of fireworks residue and blue confetti strings. The visitors were clearly disturbed by the slowness with which the game started. That had to do with a tractor with a trailer with a DJ set that had to leave the field.

6.44 pm Spakenburg-PSV line-up

Selection Spakenburg: Verhagen, Artien, Werkman, Green, vd Linden, Vink, Wesdorp, van Lopik, Damen, Admiraal, Dekker.
Line-up PSV: Drommel; Teze, Ramalho, Gutierrez, Van Aanholt; Sangaré, Til, Veerman; Bakayoko, De Jong, Simons.

PSV will miss defenders Phillipp Mwene and Olivier Boscagli in the semi-finals of the KNVB Cup tournament. Right back Mwene sustained an injury in the 4-2 league match against NEC on Saturday and was substituted at halftime. Boscagli was a basic player for the first time this season against NEC. The Frenchman was sidelined for a year with an injury and trainer Ruud van Nistelrooij does not want him to play twice in quick succession.

Jordan Teze replaces Mwene and midfielder Erick Gutiérrez drops back a line and takes center stage in defense alongside André Ramalho. Midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré returns to the base. The base team of PSV is otherwise unchanged.

6.09 pm Interest organization: Spakenburg does not have to play on Sunday

Spakenburg’s amateurs do not have to play football on Sunday, even if they beat PSV on Tuesday evening and reach the final of the KNVB Cup tournament. This is what the Association of Amateur Football Associations (BAV) says to the NOS.

According to the BAV, this is a result of a covenant that the predecessor of the organization concluded with the KNVB in 2013. It says – as quoted by the BAV: “The KNVB guarantees the BZV (predecessor BAV) that associations affiliated to this organization that in principle only play football on Saturdays will never be forced to play league and/or cup matches on Sunday”.

One of Noud’s friends, Bram, was allowed on the field with the players before. “Those nerves will come,” he promises Noud. “When you stand next to the players and that door opens.” Bram plays in another team and is not allowed to walk tonight. “I am quite jealous yes. This is quite a competition.”

What the boys expect? “Profit for Spakenburg.”

4:09 pm Spakenburg warns fans for ‘stupid and harmful actions’

Spakenburg has warned the people who will visit the cup match against PSV tonight. According to the amateur club, the entrance to the sports park is searched for fireworks, among other things, and security and stewards closely monitor misconduct during the game.

According to Spakenburg, if the rules are violated, access to the sports park will be denied and surrender to the police will follow. “The semi-finals will of course be a big party for everyone who cares about ‘Blue’. However, that party can quickly be ruined for both the club and those who take stupid and harmful actions,” the club reports on the website.

“It is good to conclude with the why of all this: you cause enormous damage to your club. Fines from the KNVB in the first instance, not to mention damage to image and also material damage with high costs. For example, the wiring of the LED boarding has been damaged by discarded flares or fireworks and the repair of this has cost our association thousands of euros.” Above the article is the text: ‘The club thinks you’re a bovine if you stunt with fireworks or flares’.

How is it possible? Is it in the fish? In the bread? Or in the genes? Be that as it may, the two big football clubs from Bunschoten-Spakenburg both managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the KNVB Cup. IJsselmeervogels in 1975, Spakenburg this season. It is already the most historic cup season for SV Spakenburg and it is not even over yet. Tonight the team will play the semi-final against PSV at home. “It is bizarre that we play it, we will probably never experience this again,” says central defender Youri Koelewijn. Still, the party is not complete for the footballer: he already missed the quarterfinals due to an injury and the chance that he will be fit enough to play against PSV is very small. “I did curse quite a bit, yes.”

10 a.m. PSV coach Ruud van Nistelrooij: ‘A semi-final is always a very big match, whoever you play against’

Only one thing counts for PSV in the semi-final of the KNVB Cup against Spakenburg. The Westmaat must be won, because the Eindhoven team wants to play the cup final on April 30. At the press conference a day before the game, trainer Ruud van Nistelrooij was therefore committed to approaching the match against the amateurs of Spakenburg just as seriously as any other top match.
