On Thursday, March 9, the police were called to a residential area on the outskirts of Luleå.
At the scene, they are met by a young man, without shoes and with bloody clothes.
The suspect was the son and younger brother of those murdered in Luleå
The man was arrested at the scene and detained on probable cause on suspicion of two counts of murder. A mother and her son were found dead at the scene.
During Friday, the man was detained, with restrictions, by Luleå district court. He pleaded guilty during the first interrogation and explained the sequence of events and what led up to the double murder.
The 19-year-old suspect later turned out to be the son of the murdered woman and the younger brother of the murdered man.

Now a former classmate tells the dead older brother about the shock.
– It feels strange and completely absurd. It doesn’t feel real, says the classmate and describes the older brother as interested in music.
– Both he and the brother were two kind and calm guys, is my opinion. It was a completely ordinary family like any other on the outside anyway. Beautiful and super kind. That’s why it feels really shocking and not at all something you thought could happen, the person told The evening paper.
