Lindbom frustrated – despite victory: “Then it will be expensive”

Henrik Borgström had to go and shower already after 38 seconds.
Then HV71 was able to turn around and win the match.
– We don’t get anything for free, I don’t want to say because then it will be expensive, ugh, said a frustrated Johan Lindbom after the victory.

There was only one change for HV71’s Henrik Borgström in the match against Rögle.

After just 38 seconds, the forward made a heavy tackle on Simon Ryfors near the edge. The referees assessed it as “checking from behind” and Borgström was awarded a match penalty for the tackle.

TV4’s expert Sanny Lindström about the tackle:

– Thinks it is tough (the match penalty), he is low and reaches for the puck. I feel that Borgström plays on the puck. Does the tackle go to your head? Yes. But I don’t think there is any intent, it is harshly judged, he said in the broadcast.

Simon Ryfors was lying bloody on the ice for a while before he was helped off, and into the dressing room.

Rögle later announced that Ryfors had been taken to hospital to be stitched up after suffering a wound.

After 60 minutes of play, it was tied at one. Then Bobby Nardella stepped forward and shot the bonus point to HV71.

Johan Lindbom, head coach of HV71, was really frustrated after the match despite the victory and sent a pass towards the referee team.

– Great with two points, but it should be three. I’m incredibly frustrated with this match. We had a lot against us out there today. We don’t get anything for free, I don’t want to say because then it will be expensive, ugh. I think it’s hard, it’s strong to take two points, he told TV4 after the match.

Lindbom did not want to elaborate further:

– I don’t want to say anything, we won two points. That’s it. A win is a win.
