The collection has been going on for six months, says Lia’s father Johnny Andersson. He was Santa and handed out the presents during the Christmas party.
– Above all, it is warm in the heart. We actually got a real dividend, he says.
Over 100 Ukrainians attended the Christmas party, which was held in Föreningarnas Hus in central Örebro. The party was organized by the Ukraine group in Örebro and coincided with the Orthodox Christmas.
– It is extremely important that we get to know each other’s cultures. To get to know the Ukrainian culture, and that they also get to know the Swedish culture and the Swedish Christmas, says Murad Artin, chairman of the Ukraine group.
