– I have decided. Now I’m going to write a book, and hopefully have more time to see all the children, grandchildren and wife, says criminologist Leif GW Persson.

The decision is also about the fact that Persson recently turned 79. On the sofa in the morning, he talks about what he should spend the time he has left on.

– The reason is that I turned 79 a few weeks ago and then I decided to spend the time I have left to finish writing a couple of books that were left lying around.

He emphasizes that he is parting ways with TV4 “as friends”.

The host Jenny Alversjö seemed as unprepared as the audience for the criminologist’s message.

– Are you going to stop here in Nyhetsmorgon, Leif? Now I’m getting very emotional here, you bring big news like this on Sunday.

On the morning sofa, Leif tells GW that he will miss the presenters and the viewers.

– I will miss both you, and the employer as a whole and my viewers. It is very nice if you can maintain a dialogue via the TV box with a million people.

He does not offer any grand final words. Instead, Leif GW Persson’s last appearance in Nyhetsmorgon ends with him eating fish cooked by the TV chef Erik Videgårdsomething that doesn’t seem completely wrong.
