Leif GW Persson is a professor of criminology and has made himself known for a number of different television programs where he discusses various current crimes. However, the journeys between the different channels were not always completely easy.
After 20 years in TV3’s “Efterlyst”, the criminologist left the program in 2010. Then he turned his attention to SVT instead.
There he got to work together with the presenter Camilla Kvartoft.
For 16 seasons they worked together in the program “Crime of the Week”. When GW then chooses to move on, he wants to take Kvartoft with him, he reveals in an interview in the podcast “Tv-fabriken”.

– She preferred that state cake. It may be small, but it sure is, eh? says Leif GW Persson in the podcast.
After the criminologist left SVT’s “Crime of the Week”, the program continues without him, which was something that did not impress GW.
– I called Camilla – I remember that – and scolded her and said that they should put the hell down. And it was also done after a year, he says in “Tv-fabriken”.
Leif GW Persson instead continues his career at TV4, where he is still a recurring face in Nyhetsmorgon. Together with the presenter Jenny Stromstedt in the box, the program “Brottsjournalen” was created, which began to be broadcast in 2018.

But from the beginning he was disappointed that Kvartoft did not accompany him to TV4.
– I wanted her to come with me to the fourth and I then tried to entice her with the fact that I would certainly be able to negotiate double the salary and so on – which I’m pretty sure I had succeeded in doing. It would have been a great fight, but she was out of it, as they say.
