Leif GW Persson about the spiral of violence in recent days

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Since Christmas Day, several serious violent crimes have been committed in Stockholm. Last Saturday, a man in his 20s was shot to death and two men were injured after a shooting in the center of Vällingby. This was the 63rd fatal shooting in Sweden during 2022.

Leif GW Persson now comments on the development of violence in Stockholm in recent days.

– There are a lot of hypotheses in vogue that it depends on this and that, and that it would have to do with the murder of Einár. But we should probably be careful that these are hypotheses, says GW.

“You want to clean up”

During Christmas Day, a 27-year-old man was shot dead in Rinkeby, where connections to the murder of Einár were suspected. Then there were also concerns that they would not be able to solve the murder issue.

– It’s not that you want to take revenge on Einár, I think primarily, but possibly that you want to clean up so that people who know too much, so to speak, are not left in the management, says GW.
