Linus Omark is back in Swedish hockey again.
And it didn’t take long before he got into a fight with the hockey profile Leif Boork.
But Omark’s completely sane response after the unexpected criticism now makes the whole of hockey Sweden laugh.
It has come time for another season of Swedish hockey and SHL again. The teams have had to do their utmost to sharpen the squads further in the hunt for the SM gold and now it will be decided on the ice next year.
Omark back
Once again, the big star Linus Omark is back in Swedish hockey again. Most recently, it was the 2021/22 season and few things went very well for the quirky forward in Luleå.

Omark scored an impressive 58 points in 52 games in the regular season and then another 17 points in 17 games in the playoffs. Since then he has managed one season in Switzerland with Geneve-Servette and is now returning to Luleå for another SHL season.

But it hasn’t exactly been a warm welcome back from the hockey profile Leif Bork. The veteran coach goes for a hard attack and sees Omark, who is singled out as the biggest star in the SHL next season.
“Linus Omark is ranked as the biggest star in the SHL by GT’s experts. In the last ten years, hardly any goals have been scored in Tre Kronor. Not established in the NHL. Flashed around in Finland and Switzerland and SHL. No, I don’t share that assessment when I see the other names! A Window-dresser! Up to proof!”, writes a critical Boork on X (formerly Twitter).

Leif Boork then develops his thoughts and highlights several other players as bigger stars than just Omark.
“Anton Strålman ranked 11th. Tömmernäs and Lindberg after Omark! Joel Persson! Pär Lindholm! Anton Lander et al. Would have taken all those names before Linus Omark!”, he writes on social media.
The harsh words have reached all the way to Linus Omark, who is now getting into a verbal spat before the start of the season. The SHL star’s clever answer now makes the whole of hockey Sweden laugh.
“The fact that the staff at the nursing home still gives you access to the Wi-Fi is damn impressive, you must be a badass at persuading people! U still going strong Leffe”, writes Omark on X.
