The plan arose at the kitchen table after Jan Muis, Femke’s grandfather, died in March 2020. He was a councilor, alderman and deputy mayor in Odijk for many years. “My grandfather was always a great champion of social housing. He wanted to leave money for his children and grandchildren, so that they can buy a house independently one day more easily. But at the moment, me and my brothers don’t need the money immediately, so then we decided We have this plan to give back to the community.”
