League exposed – stole legos worth over three million

Last week, the police in Los Angeles managed to uncover a thief with a somewhat odd focus – rental thefts.

Four people were arrested by traffic police and are suspected of robbing several stores on Legos which they sold on to actors on the black market, who in turn sold the stolen goods to “apparently legitimate businesses, flea markets or online”.

The four people are suspected of having stolen Legos to a value of just over three million kroner.

Several valuables were found

In connection with the crackdown, the police published a picture on social media of the league’s stolen goods. These are several expensive Lego models, including the spaceship Millennium Falcon from Star Wars and a Porsche 911.

It’s not the first time theft gangs have targeted Lego. In 2021, French police announced that they were investigating an international theft ring focusing on Legos, and in the same year, a store owner in Seattle in the US was arrested after being accused of selling stolen Legos.
