Lauri Lepistö, who missed the World Cup, won the Finnish Cup – Remi Lindholm opened up about his health problems: “The eyes swelled up a bit”

Lauri Lepisto who missed the World Cup won the Finnish

Lauri Lepistö was first on Saturday in Vantaa in the traditional 10 km race. Remi Lindholm returned to the Games after a suspected allergic attack in France.

Skiing at the Finnish Cup in Vantaa Lauri Lepistö took the victory in the traditional skiing 10 km race.

Lepistö, which was left out of the World Cup team, beat the team that was part of the World Cup team Ville Ahonen with 4.8 seconds. Joonas Sarkkinen was third with 27.1 seconds behind.

– This week has not upset me at all (being left out of the World Cup team). I have been in such bad shape for the last month. If it had been in top condition, then it would be a shame. The last month has been such that it’s not fun to fight for 30th place, Lepistö told Urheilu.

– It’s getting better all the time. Let’s see, will it hurt a lot after a month? In the spring, I will do everything I can to be able to fight in the twenty-something world cups at the end of the season.

From the skiing team of the World Championships Remi Lindholm finished sixth on Saturday. Lindholm’s situation was a small question mark, because two weeks ago he was 33rd in the free normal distance at the World Cup in France. He missed last weekend’s World Cup in Toblah.

Lindholm said before Saturday’s race that he got sick in France.

– I don’t know if it was an allergic reaction. The eyes swelled up a bit. I wasn’t getting enough oxygen. It’s been a couple of weeks. Now we are well trained, Lindholm said.

However, he did not think the situation was bad.

– These come and go, Lindholm stated.

Lindholm already had time to say before the race that Lepistö could be difficult to beat.

– With “Lepi” the opening effects were drawn. He seemed to be in good shape, Lindholm said.

Cross mat Hakola missed Saturday’s race due to flu symptoms.
