Men pretended to be police officers and robbed women

The police were alerted to a robbery in an apartment in central Helsingborg during the night of Thursday.

On the spot, two men tried to escape – a 25-year-old man was arrested, the police report.

The two men are suspected of robbery of cash and impersonation after the men pretended to be police officers.

There are no reports of injuries.

    China has registered 22 covid deaths since December.

    The WHO has held high-level meetings with China in recent weeks, pleading for better statistics from the outbreak.

  • Timber truck has overturned on the E22 – stoppage in traffic

    A timber truck has driven into the ditch and overturned on the E22 just north of Söderköping, writes TT, which refers to the Östra Götaland Rescue Service.

  • Poland buys 116 tanks from the US

    Poland has signed an agreement to buy 116 American Abrams tanks, writes the Norwegian news agency NTB.

    Poland is gearing up its defenses heavily, after Russia invaded their neighbor Ukraine.

    The tanks are said to cost 1.3 billion euros, corresponding to over 14 billion Swedish kronor. According to NTB, the US Foreign Ministry is contributing around 200 million dollars in support.

    Last year, Poland bought 250 tanks of the same type to be delivered in 2024.

    The first deliveries from the latest purchase are said to take place already this year.

    The heavy snow storm has caused it in parts of Sweden during the day.

    SMHI’s warning for northern Götaland is at the second highest level, orange, and will remain so until 09:00 tomorrow morning.

    During the night, the wind turns to the northeast and up to 30 centimeters of snow can fall. The temperature is expected to be around zero.

    In the southern part of the area, the snow will turn to rain during the evening, but may return to snow again tonight.
