A middle-aged woman died when the car she was driving collided with a moose on the E14 in Östersund shortly before 10pm on Saturday evening.

The accident occurred west of the Rannåsen traffic area.

Turkey has arrested over 100 people for crimes linked to earthquake protection of buildings, writes New York Times and refers to the Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Several thousand buildings have collapsed in southern Turkey after the powerful earthquake – including high-rise buildings and brand new apartment buildings. Many have expressed anger at the poor build quality.
