Sweden’s NATO negotiator Oscar Stenström states that there is a pause in the negotiations with Turkey, reports Swedens radio.

Among other things, Turkey has stated that talks with Sweden about NATO are “meaningless” at the moment.

The reasons are mainly Rasmus Paludan’s Koran burning last weekend and the violent protests that followed in Turkey.

    – We have jointly agreed, me and my counterpart, that it does not make sense to have confidential conversations and meet physically, says Oscar Stenström.

    – That would probably only lead to us messing up the situation. Now we work separately, he continues.

Furthermore, he says that it is unclear how long the pause in the talks will be, and that it is still important that Sweden becomes a member of NATO.

    – I hope to be in contact with my counterpart next week on the phone in any case, but when we will meet physically is unclear, says Stenström.

  • The government allocates 1.6 billion to women’s health

The government is setting aside 1.6 billion for, among other things, special efforts to strengthen accessibility to maternal health care and maternity care in rural areas.

The decision comes after an agreement between the government and Sweden’s Municipalities and Regions, SKR. The goal is to apply more initiatives for a more person-centred, accessible and equal maternal health care, delivery care and aftercare.

    – Now it is important that we make efforts so that care before, during and after pregnancy can form a coherent care chain, with accessible and knowledge-based care including aftercare. But it is important that this applies to equal care for everyone throughout the country, which is why special efforts must also be made in the rural regions, says Minister of Health Acko Ankarberg Johansson (KD) in a press release.

  • If I don’t want to open an account in Swedbank, will I still get the money?

    Nathalie Thor

You do not need to open an account with Swedbank, just register your bank account (regardless of which bank you have), to receive the electricity subsidy.

If you do not want to register your account, and do not receive a general pension from the Pensions Authority, you will receive a payment notice sent home.

You can read more about it here!

  • Is it true? Noticed that an account with the pension authority is ok?

    Claes

That’s right, if you have an account with the Pension Authorities, the electricity subsidy is paid out in connection with the pension.

“You who receive a general pension from the Pensions Authority do not have to do anything, you receive the money into your account as you usually receive your pension,” Swedbank writes on its website.

  • Yes, so I’m going to register in Swedbank’s account register for electricity support, but how do I do it then?

    Ursula

Hey! It worked temporarily, but as you write, the bank’s services seem to be down again. We are looking for Handelsbanken’s press service and hope to be able to update you soon on how things are going.

  • Do you have to have an account with Swedbank in order to be paid out?

    Bernie

No, but you must register your account, depending on which bank you have, in Swedbank’s account register if you want the electricity subsidy money as soon as possible.
