New figures from Coop show that the residents of Skellefteå eat the most frozen pizza in the whole country, report The north.

Stora Coop at Sörböle in Skellefteå breaks the record – something they believe is due to the establishment of the Northvolt battery factory.

    – There are many new residents who are connected to the battery factory, we see that in the influx of customers here in the store, says supermarket manager Susanne Rindelöv, to the newspaper.

    – Since they often live with fairly simple kitchens so far, ready-made and frozen food takes up a lot of space in the shopping basket, she continues.

Coop’s figures show that the store sells a frozen pizza every five minutes.

In second and third place are Umeå and Kiruna, where a frozen pizza is sold every six minutes, all year round.

  • Scientists: Animals should be allowed in shelters

At this time, it is not allowed to bring pets into shelters in the event of a crisis.

The animals are also not allowed to come along in any situation if the master or mistress is evacuated.

It is now being criticized by Arita Holmberg, docent in political science at the Defense University in Stockholm.

    – There is a risk that our pets are completely without protection in the event of a crisis or war, she says SVT News.

Pets are covered by the Animal Welfare Act, but at the moment it is not certain that it will be followed in a crisis situation – unlike other countries that have stronger protection for animals in such events.

    – There is a development of total defense and then one should review how pets are to be protected even during crisis and war. In many other countries, they have stronger protection in the event of, for example, floods and forest fires. Sweden is lagging behind, says Arita Holmberg.
