Police said the roads were not slippery or dangerous due to any weather conditions and it was a normal Friday night.

Eyewitnesses said that a white pickup truck accelerated and hit a turning vehicle, which turned off the road and crashed into the food truck. The white pickup truck then skidded onto the pavement and onto a nearby bike rack.

Sergeant Moore of the Austin Police Department said the drivers of the vehicles had agreed, but it was too early to say whether any charges would be brought.
