Breaking news… NATO is preparing to hold an exercise in the Baltic Sea with the participation of tens of warships, warplanes and 7,000 soldiers from many countries.
According to the statement made by NATO, the 51st naval exercise of Baltic Operations 22 (BALTOPS22) will be held on 5-17 June.

In addition to Turkey, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, England and the USA will participate in the exercise. 45 ships, at least 75 aircraft and approximately 7,000 military personnel will be involved in the exercise.
In the exercise, which aims to strengthen the necessary opportunities for the protection of freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic region, studies will be carried out on various subjects such as amphibious operations, shooting techniques, operations against submarines, air defense maneuvers, mine clearance, explosive destruction, unmanned underwater vehicles and medical interventions.
Sweden will host the BALTOPS22 exercise, which was first held in 1972 and is repeated every year. (AA)
