It is the organization Sweden’s Motorcyclists, SMC, which is behind the national meeting in Borlänge. The meeting will be the culmination of a tour around the whole country that SMC made this summer to investigate the interest in electric motorcycles.
“They come back with a smile”
– They are a little hesitant at first, but most who have test driven have a big smile on their face when they get off the electric motorcycle, says Jesper Christensen who is SMC’s general secretary.
There are approximately 300,000 motorcycles in the country, and from a climate point of view it would be important to convert Sweden’s motorcycle fleet to electricity, says Jesper Christensen.
