Sword attack in London

Several people have been injured in an act of violence near the Hainault underground station in London, several media write.

According to witness statements to The Telegraph should it be a man who “runs around with a samurai sword”. The same witness believes that the man must have first crashed a van into a house and then stabbed four people.

The police state that two of the injured are police officers. The injury status of all victims is unclear.

“This must have been a terrifying event for those concerned,” says the police’s Ade Adelekan in a statement.

At the moment, the police cannot see anything that points to the crime being terror-related.

The station and an area nearby have been cordoned off and the man, who is 36 years old, has been arrested. According to the police, the situation is under control.
