Grown men stand and cry
SVT has spoken to the tenants several times over the years, who felt bad after being treated badly – by their own landlord.
– The last city council was here where grown men stood and cried on the pavement, he says Johan Brannmarka resident of the house, for SVT Nyheter.
The municipality steps in
Therefore, the municipality is now stepping in. The red-green government in the city of Stockholm has decided to confiscate the house. But it is very rare for something like that to happen.
In fact, that has never happened since the Compulsory Confiscation Act was introduced in 1977.
Forced purchase
The house stands in Traneberg in Stockholm and is therefore historic. It tells Clara Lindblom (V), housing and property council in the city of Stockholm, for SVT:
– We will submit a lawsuit to the Land and Environmental Court so that the public good can take over, says Clara Lindblom.
The forced purchase comes after the residents wrote a protest list and sent it to the municipality. The landlord will get paid for the house, but he cannot say no to selling, if the decision goes through.
What has the host done?
Among other things, the landlord must have patrolled the street, and evicted those who lived in the house but who did not behave in the way the landlord wishes.
– There are threats about the white and people have been dismissed for no reason at all, says Johan Brännmark to SVT.
SVT has sought the landlord, who has not returned.
