Lancelot Hedman Graaf pop star in new film

Lancelot Hedman Graaf plays the role of the popular pop band’s bassist Anders Herrlin in the film, which begins shooting in August.

All five cast as the five band members are making their acting debuts. But Lancelot Hedman Graaf is the most famous after making a name for himself as a martial artist, artist and “Let’s dance” participant as well as competing in Melodifestivalen.

Phoenix Parnevik plays drummer Micke Syd Andersson and the group’s star Per Gessle is played by Waldemar Wahlbeck, 19, son of comedian Peter Wahlbeck.

“Imagine being born and raised in Halmstad and now getting to play one of this city’s biggest icons. Dad is from Halmstad, Per is from Halmstad, my teacher created Gula Tidningen which is a Golden Times parody. It feels like the circle is closed”, says Valdemar Wahlbeck in a press release.

Per Gessle was initially hesitant about the project, but changed his mind.

“After talking long and often with everyone involved and reading the script, I’m super proud and happy about this project,” he says.

The film is directed by Per Simonsson and premieres next summer.
