Kuopio Palloseura has to change the early season match schedule of its league teams. The reason is the renewal of the football turf in the central field.
April’s home matches have to be moved to new times. For this reason, Kuopio Palloseura’s men’s league team will play four consecutive away matches in April.
The Women’s National League team starts its season with three consecutive away matches. The season starts on April 14 in Mariehamn, followed by two away matches in Helsinki. The first home match is on Saturday, May 9 against HJK.
However, the opening of the men’s football league KuPS–HJK will be played according to the match schedule on April 6. The field renovation starts the very next day and lasts about four weeks. During that time, the men’s league team plays away matches in Mariehamn, Turku, Lahti and Seinäjoki.
It is planned to use the renewed artificial turf in the home match on May 10. Staying on schedule for the renovation requires sufficiently warm spring temperatures so that the work can be done properly.
