Kristersson on election pledge criticism: “Dramatic changes”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In November, SCB’s large party sympathy survey showed that voters feel let down. More than every second voter believes that the government has not lived up to its election promises. Mainly when it comes to the price of petrol and electricity, according to DN/Ipsos.

Before the election, the government issued concrete, numerical promises about fuel price reductions and compensation for electricity customers. In none of these areas has the government delivered what was promised.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) is now responding to the criticism, and about how he considers a broken election promise to be defined.

– It is if you don’t do at all what you set out to do or said you would do, says Kristersson.

“Dramatic changes”

When presenter Steffo Törnquist asks about the election promises regarding paused amortization requirements and tax increase freezes, Kristersson replies that you have to be a little nuanced here.

– We said even then that the economic situation may change, we have gone from positive growth to negative growth in just a few months, these are quite dramatic changes.
