This weekend, the skiing world cup is on hiatus, but the Finnish skiers are celebrating the Finnish Cup in Puijo.

In Kuopio’s Suomen Cup, the program on Saturday includes the 12-kilometer intermediate races of freestyle skiing. On Sunday, relays will be raced in traditional skiing.

Saturday: 1:05 p.m., women 12 km (v) 2:35 p.m., men 12 km (v)

Sunday: 12:00 p.m., women’s relay (3 x 5 km, p) 1:15 p.m., men’s relay (3 x 7.5 km, p)

Krista Pärmääkoski, Jasmin Kähäärä, Katri Lylynperä, Anni Alakoski and Vilma Ryytty will start the 12 kilometer race today.

Among those who skied in the North American World Cup, only Kähärä is participating, who returned home earlier due to the flu. Jasmi Joensuu, Anne Kyllönen, Kerttu Niskanen and Johanna Matintalo are therefore on the sidelines today.

Among the men, Iivo Niskanen, who took a break from the World Cup, will be seen at 12 kilometers. The star of the Puijo Skiing Club is therefore participating in his home competitions.

Remi Lindholm, Markus Vuorela, Ristomatti Hakola, Niko Anttola, Lauri Lepistö and Juuso Haarala will also start among the men known from the national team.

On the side are Perttu Hyvärinen, Niilo Moilanen, Joni Mäki and Lauri Vuorinen.
